Appointed as Mintmaster at Detmold, a city in Germany, in 1618, along with the Mint Director, Jacob Pfahler, before that in
Stadtberge (in Marsberg), where both Riemer and Pfahler lived. As they were moving to Detmold, Riemer was charged and arrested
in connection with substandard minting. On 13 July 1621, Riemer was appointed Mintmaster for the Cologne Archbishopric, but
