Rudolf V of Homburg (first mentioned in 1097; died 9/10 November 1122) was Bishop Rudolf III of Basel. Rudolf came from the
family of the Counts of Thierstein. From 1097, he served as provost of the Basel cathedral chapter. He became Bishop of Basel
in 1107. From 1114, he was also provost of the Grossmünster church in Zurich. He successfully endeavoured to strengthen the
rights of the bishops over the monastery of St. Blasien in the Black Forest and was actively involved in the construction
of the church of St. Leonhard in Basel, which he consecrated in 1118.
