MIB, acronym for moneda iberica, is a knowledge plattform for the study, conservation, cataloging, archive and dissemination
of the Ancient numismatic heritage of the Iberian Peninsula and southern France that includes coinages of Greek, Punic, Iberian,
Celtiberian, Vasconian, Lusitanian and Latin cultures. The core of the project is the catalogue of more than 4,000 monetary
types minted between the 6th and 1st centuries BC, backed by a documentary archive of 100,000 coins. It includes pieces from
museums, private collections and European and American auctions of the last decades. The incorporation of contents and functionalities
to this portal will be carried out progressively.
