The county of Habsburg as an issuing authority. The title ‘count of Habsburg’ was used from 1108 onwards. It is not clear
where the minting rights of the counts of Habsburg derive from. In the years between 1232 and 1234, a division of property
and administration took place between the brothers Albrecht IV of Habsburg (continuing the older ancestral line) and Rudolf
III of Habsburg (the founder of the Laufenburg line, now Rudolf I of Habsburg-Laufenburg). The counts of Habsburg-Laufenburg
only ever named themselves after Habsburg, in the 14th century sometimes with the addition of Lord of Laufenburg.
