Medieval Christian mint belonging to the Kingdom of Castile, located in the town of Ávila, Spain. It began operating in the
first half of the 12th century, under the reign of Alfonso VII of Castile (1126-1157), and its production continued until
the second half of the 15th century, minting billon, silver and gold coins.
