Il Cantone di Argovia, in Svizzera, come autorità emittente. Sebbene alcune parti del Canton Argovia possano essere fatte
risalire all'Aaregau medievale, il Canton Argovia è stato costituito solo sotto Napoleone dall'Argovia bernese, dal Freiamt,
dalla Fricktal e dalla contea di Baden. Con la Costituzione di Mediazione, il Cantone di Argovia - come tutti gli altri cantoni
- ricevette il potere di battere moneta, che mantenne fino alla fondazione dello Stato federale svizzero nel 1848.
