Johann Adam Longerich

Definition
The eldest son of Nikolaus Longerich, Johann Adam was sworn in as Mintmaster for the Cologne Circle, Germany, on 22 October 1700 and held this position until his resignation on 6 November 1705. He was then Mintmaster in Jülich-Berg and Dortmund. Longerich was also the Mint Warden for the Lower Rhine-Westphalian Circle, as noted in the Protocols of 1700, 1705 and 1712, and mintmaster in Düsseldorf, 1707 and 1708. His mintmark was IAL. Salian dynasty

The Salian dynasty or Salic dynasty (German: Salier) was a dynasty in the High Middle Ages. The dynasty provided four kings of Germany (1024–1125), all of whom went on to be crowned Holy Roman emperors (1027–1125). After the death of the last Ottonian emperor in 1024, the Kingdom of Germany and later the entire Holy Roman Empire passed to Conrad II, a Salian. He was followed by three more Salian rulers: Henry III, Henry IV, and Henry V. They established their monarchy as a major European power.

Themistocles

Themistocles (Greek: Θεμιστοκλῆς Greek pronunciation: [tʰemistoklɛ̂ːs] Themistoklẽs; "Glory of the Law"; c. 524–459 BC) was an Athenian politician and general. He was one of a new breed of non-aristocratic politicians who rose to prominence in the early years of the Athenian democracy. After the Persian Wars Themistocles fled from Greece. Alexander I of Macedon (r. 498–454 BC) temporarily gave him sanctuary at Pydna before he traveled to Asia Minor, where he entered the service of the Persian king Artaxerxes I (reigned 465–424 BC). He was made governor of Magnesia, and lived there for the rest of his life.
