Castelló de Farfanya

Christian medieval and modern mint, dedicated to the production of local currency, located in the town of Castelló de Farfanya (province of Lleida, Catalonia, Spain). Between 1298 and 1400, it already produced pougeoises, but no pieces from these emissions have been found. It minted pougeoises and copper senyals between the 15th and 16th centuries. It is unknown if it continued to produce coins in the 17th century, despite the concessions granted in 1645 to mint ardits and diners.

Cervera

Definition
Christian medieval and modern mint, primarily dedicated to the production of local currency, located in the town of Cervera (province of Lleida, Catalonia, Spain). In 1462, the municipality requested a license to mint, and by 1465 they were producing local silver diners as well as currency of general circulation. Between the 15th and 16th centuries, this mint produced diners, ardits, reials, pougeoises (quarters of diner), lead diners, senyals (tokens), and half-senyals made of copper. In 1716, their operations ceased as the newly crowned King Philip V of Spain denied them the minting license.

Balaguer

Definition
Medieval Christian mint located in Balaguer (province of Lleida, Catalonia, Spain). The mint produced pougeoises (quarters of diner), senyals (tokens) and other local coins, especially during the rule of the Countess Teresa d'Entença (1300-1327). It also minted silver diners and obols in the name of the different counts called Ermengol, which circulated throughout the territories of the Crown of Aragon, altough in small quantities. The mint remained operational until, at least, 1642.

Alicante

Definition
Medieval Christian mint located in the city of Alicante, Spain. It was in operation during the reign of King James II of Aragon, between the years 1296 and 1301. It produced billon diners known as "reales of Murcia." Although there are documentary records of the existence of billon obols and possible silver groats, it appears, for now, that they were never actually issued. The mint ceased to exist when the civil authorities of Alicante requested to adopt the currency of Valencia and decided to abandon the "reales of Murcia".

Medieval Christian and modern mint, located in the city of Naples, Italy. It produced currency throughout the Middle Ages, but gained greater significance with its incorporation into the Kingdom of Naples, first under the sovereignty of the Kings of Aragon in the 15th century, and later under the Spanish Monarchy until the reign of Charles III of Spain in the 18th century. Girona

Definition
Medieval and modern Christian mint, located in the Catalan city of Girona (Catalonia, Spain). It produced Carolingian and county coins during the 10th and 11th centuries, and episcopal currency. Over time, it lost relevance in front of the mint of Barcelona. In 1463, King John II of Aragon approved the production of local currency and in 1481 King Ferdinand II of Aragon granted a privilege to continue minting local coins, a practice that lasted until the Catalan Reapers' War (1640-1652). Exceptionally, it resumed its production during the War of Spanish Independence (1808-1814). It closed permanently in the 19th century.

The medieval and modern Christian mint was located in the town of Sanaüja, in the province of Lleida (Catalonia, Spain). It began minting coins in the 11th century, although its activity seems to have ceased in the first third of the 12th century due to the presence of other county mints. There were possible emissions of pougeoises between the late 13th century and the 15th century, and in the second half of the 16th century there were emissions of incuse diners. Majorca
