Schaffhausen, under Nellenburg rule, as issuing authority (1045-1080). In 1045, King Henry III granted Count Eberhard of Nellenburg
the right to mint coins for the town of Schaffhausen (Stadtarchiv Schaffhausen A I 1425). In 1080, Hirsau Abbot Wilhelm was
appointed reformer in All Saints' by Burkhard of Nellenburg, and as part of the reforms, the market and mint were ceded to
the monastery in the same year.
