Berge or Berga was a Greek town of ancient Macedonia, in what is now the Serres regional unit in northern Greece. The town was located inland from the mouth of the Strymon, in the region of Bisaltia, north-west of Amphipolis, and was founded by Thasians as a dependent colony and emporion sometime in the 5th century BCE. Later sources call it a polis, but according to Strabo it was a village of the Bisaltae and Ptolemy writes that it was in the territory of the Odomanti.

Caesarea Maritima (Greek: Παράλιος Καισάρεια Parálios Kaisáreia), also known as Caesarea Palestinae, was an ancient city in the Sharon Plain on the coast of the Mediterranean. The city and harbour were built under Herod the Great during c. 22–10 or 9 BCE near the site of a former Phoenician naval station known as Stratonos pyrgos (Στράτωνος πύργος, "Straton's Tower"), probably named after the 4th century BCE king of Sidon, Strato I. It later became the provincial capital of Roman Judea, Roman Syria Palaestina and Byzantine Palaestina Prima provinces.

It is believed to have been founded as a Seleucid fort during the Syrian Wars which was turned into a city under Hasmonean rule in 81 BCE. During the Great Revolt, it became an important stronghold for rebels and because of this Gamla is a symbol for the modern state of Israel and an important historical and archaeological site.

Nyon

Nyon was part of the territory of the archbishopric of Besançon before in 1272, the sovereign rights over the town and the dominion of Nyon passed to the House of Savoy, which was only able to enforce them by force of arms after a long struggle against the former governors, the Lords of Prangins, in 1293. It became the only mint of the Barony of Vaud.
