First magistrate attested in Athens in 70/69 BC. From Melitene. Brother of his colleague Xenon, grandson of Epigenes. Epimeletes
in Delos in 126/125 BC (Habicht 1991, p. 14). Probably the two annual magistrates Epigenes and Xenon are identical with the
brothers of the same name who are attested as ephebes in 80/79 BC – in this case they would have held the magistracy in their
younger days (Habicht 1991, p. 14). Thesmothetes in 56/55 BC: See M. Thompson, The New Style Silver Coinage of Athens (1961)
